ALTERNATIVE FUELS FOR HVAC
ADRCool - Stands for Automatic Demand Response Cooling.
Our design uses natural gas, propane or biofuels to operate existing HVAC units in the heat of the day eliminating the need to operate your HVAC electric compressor.
- ADRCool has the ability to switch between your existing electric compressor and our alternative fuels compressor.
- ADRCool is good for the utility as it reduces load during peak periods.
- ADRCool is good for the end user as it uses less expensive fuels, saving them money during peak periods.
A simple add on device to convert your existing HVAC system
ADRCool connects to any 3 - 5 ton roof top unit, split system, or heat pump, and can be installed by any HVAC licensed contractor in about 4 hours.
The recommended use on units that provide more than 5 tons of cooling is to install ADRCool on the first stage of the unit to remove base load during peak periods.
- No AQMD permits required.
- Less than 250 lbs.
- Uses AT&T IoT communications.
Development is ongoing to address multi stage systems and work is also being done for additional alternative fuel sources.
